Shimara
The Story so far
Obviously a written speculation and a light discussion among friends were enough to become the sparks and the motive in order for youngsters of Chimara to creatively and altruistically offer regarding everything that troubles, tortures and defames our land. This was not our only aim since we also want to meet youngsters of our age and of course have fun. Besides the company spirit is what prevails amongst us.
Things were not so easy in reality. In the beginning, one of our friends that visits a lot our village, wrote a letter describing everything that he thought were the main problems of our land and, according to him, need to be solved immediately. After some initial difficulties, this letter was distributed and some of those who read it responded positively.
Who We Are
Our main concern is to clarify to everyone, that our team’s character is voluntary and funded entirely from its members. All C.V.T. members are working and active citizens and offer for the materialization of our aims the amount that is necessary each time. Unanimously and clearly, we state that our team is not involved or aims to obtain a relationship with any political parties. Every member has its personal political beliefs that are entirely respected from everyone else. These beliefs are not in any case the subject of our team’s aim.
Everyone that wants to offer in any way, for the common interest of our land is welcome. We do not compete but try to help anyone that seeks the best of our village. Moreover, the members of our team, personally and as a group do not have any economical or other kind of demand from the local authorities or the citizens. We only ask for everyone’s support to our endeavour. In other words we are looking for the respect towards this effort besides we do not have any personal gains but seek the best of our land. This endeavour begins with the best of intentions and sentiments. Nobody knows how far this will go but one thing is certain, we will try our best. Besides, the beauty of the journey for the return to the homeland is what it counts.
Why We Do What We Do
A discussion between youngsters followed regarding the problems of our land and upon the conversation an idea came up… To join our forces and everyone in his/her way to help solve these issues and give something back to the land that gave us so many pleasures and filled us with pride, but mainly gave open-handed the possibility and chance to taste and enjoy incomparable beauty and magic. The meetings and discussions followed one another.
We exchanged ideas and opinions and tried to conclude to the best possible result. What everyone was looking for, was to find the ideal solution for our village but which at the same time would not oppress or restrict any of our friends or members. In this way, after long discussions and arguments agreed on what needs to be done. We made our decisions, informal rules, that are valid between us and we all follow up and respect.
